Ingredients
50 gr. of tomato juice
300 gr. flour
15 gr. yeast
50 gr. milk
20 gr. sugar
10 gr. salt
50 gr. butter
2 eggs
15 gr. basil
100 gr. cheese

Key Points

The fermentation time of the dough may vary depending on the ambient temperature, so it is important to observe the fermentation process. When baking the pastries, the oven temperature and cooking time should be adjusted according to the size and thickness of the pastries. Covering a cloth over the hot rolls coming out of the oven ensures that they remain soft.

How to Cook?

Spread the flour on a large and clean surface and open the centre of the flour in such a way that it looks like a pool.
Melt the butter in a small bowl
Add the tomato juice, dry yeast, milk, granulated sugar, melted butter, egg and basil into the pool you have formed from the flour.
Mix all the ingredients so that there is no residue and the mixture becomes homogeneous and knead until it forms a dense dough.
Put the dough in a bowl and cover it with a slightly damp cloth. Then let the dough rest at room temperature for approximately 1 hour.
After 1 hour, the dough that you have rested should have been swelled.
Place the rested dough on a lightly floured clean surface.
Roll out the dough thinly with a rolling pin.
After dividing the rolled-out dough into equal pieces, firstly roll it out and then join the ends together to form a roll.
Spread the whisked egg yolk on the rolls you have shaped with the help of a brush.
Place the pastries on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper so that they do not stick to each other.
Bake in an oven which has been preheated to 120 degrees for 30 minutes.
You can serve the baked rolls hot or after they have cooled down a little, depending on your preference.
